The best guitarist in the world is…
So you expect me to tell you who the best guitarist in the world is?
If it’s only about speed and guitar technique then maybe we can find one guitarist.
But sorry, music is not a competition.
Technically there is maybe the guitarist who plays more notes than any other, but I’m not sure it will have a musical impact unless the music peice he or she is playing requires to play that many notes.
Playing the right notes at the right moment, and controlling the sound to serve the music takes time and this requires maturity which takes time or experience to acquire, like a very good technique.
Choosing the best guitarist is ultimately something that is strongly guided by our own musical tastes and this makes it something totally subjective.
I think there is no best guitarist but there could be many best guitarists classified by genre or sub-genre.
It really doesn’t matter who is the best guitarist as long as there are guitarists who play well enough to move our souls when we listen to them. Thanks to the universe, I think there is a lot!!
